Unesco-protected historical city of Trogir
We travel alongside the coast (just 20km to the west) and reach another historic city - ancient Trogir, a Unesco world heritage site. The city features impressive architecture from world renowned makers with St.Lawrence Cathedral leading the way with the majestic Radovan”s Portal. Some of the most famous European artists and carvers were involved in making St. Lawrence Cathedral and there you can see highest level of renaissance and gothic in this part of Europe.
Walking through the streets of Trogir is like traveling to the time of Grecians, Romans, and Venetians.
In the historical core of Trogir, almost every house has stylistic features, a crest or sign above the door. Numerous palaces and houses have been preserved, mostly dating back to the 13th century AD, as well as about a dozen churches. On the south side of the city most of the medieval stone walls and towers have been preserved (the rest of the walls were destroyed at the beginning of the 19th century).
Tour includes :
- entry ticket of Trogir Cathedral St. Lawrence,
- guiding,
- optional transfers from accommodation and back.
